Events

5K Run & Walk is a marathon event we organized in 2019 and 2020, and that we would like to organize in the summer of every year going forward and make it a tradition to promote a healthy and active lifestyle within the Sighişoara community.

Every Halloween we would organize something together with our volunteers for children, to have a reason to get together and have fun in a constructive way, with games, showing off our costumes and our pumpkins and parading in the Citadel.

Shoebox is a charity event through which we collect and distribute presents for the children of disadvantaged families from Sighişoara and its surroundings. We organized this charity action in 2019 and 2020, and we would like to make it a tradition going forward, and give the people in Sighişoara a way to come together in solidarity and help those in need.

Asociaţia AUM together with the European Solidarity Corps volunteers is organising every summer educative theme summer camps for groups of kids aged between 7 and 14 years olds, and summer clubs for teenagers aged 15 to 19 years old. The children and youngsters learn about certain topics through methods of non-formal education.

We love nature and we believe our environment is our mirror. We organise yearly a cleaning event together with our volunteers and with the community, to tackle the issue of trash found in Sighisoara’s green areas.

Supporting and getting involved in socio-cultural initiatives of our local community is part of the volunteering experience in our organisation, it is a way that volunteers learn more about our culture and get the chance to integrate and interact more with Sighisoara locals.

It is our tradition to organise a public event to celebrate, on May 9th, Europe Day, to raise awareness and promote the european values. Due to the European Union and its programmes we are able to work with volunteers and create beautiful things for Sighisoara.

At Asociatia AUM we like to celebrate the Winter Holidays by doing something for the community: Christmas fair, carols night, Shoebox charity campaigns, and many more!

Our European Solidarity Corps volunteers are involved yearly into organising games and fun activities for the kids of our community to celebrate International Children’s Day on June 1st.
