As the coordinating association, AUM is proud to spearhead the ongoing "ESC Development Strategy Long Term 2022" project, an initiative that embodies our commitment to fostering personal growth, community engagement, and organizational development. Central to the success of this project are the invaluable contributions of our ESC volunteers, who play multifaceted roles in planning, organizing, and delivering a diverse array of activities aimed at enriching the lives of individuals in the Sighisoara and Saschiz communities.
The roles of ESC volunteers within AUM are as dynamic as they are vital. Engaged in both group and individual tasks, our volunteers dive into the heart of community-building endeavors, utilizing their skills, passion, and dedication to drive positive change. From facilitating non-formal educational workshops for children, youngsters, and adults to spearheading informational campaigns and public events, our volunteers are at the forefront of creating meaningful experiences for our community members.
With a focus on empowerment and skill development, our ESC volunteers are instrumental in the implementation of various activities. Through weekly sessions of AUM's Clubs they nurture creativity and personal growth among participants. Additionally, they lead English language classes for adults of all proficiency levels, empowering them to broaden their horizons and seize new opportunities.
Digital engagement is also a cornerstone of our project, with volunteers actively involved in social media management, podcast production, article writing, video creation, and more. This digital presence serves as a platform for sharing stories, disseminating information, and inspiring others within and beyond our communities.
As we work tirelessly to achieve our goals, we also recognize the importance of fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration within our volunteer cohort. We bid farewell to senior volunteers with a heartfelt ceremony, ensuring that their contributions are acknowledged and cherished. Similarly, we welcome new volunteers with open arms, providing them with comprehensive training and support to kick start their journey with us.
The project calendar is dotted with significant milestones, from organizing public events like the Rhubarb Festival to hosting AUM Summer Camps and supporting international training courses for youth workers. Through each activity and event, our ESC volunteers embody our motto: "When we work, we work; but when we have fun, we have fun!" Together, we are building a brighter future for our communities, one initiative at a time.
